Lorenz was shot dead by the police in Oldenburg. His death was not a \u201ctragic isolated incident.\u201d It was part of a system that kills again and again. A system that hits Black people, people of color, poor people, refugees, and people with mental illness particularly hard\u2014while at the same time protecting itself from consequences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
